About

Who is Dr. Bryant?

Coming from Compton, CA (inner city of Los Angeles), Dr. Aaron P Bryant started working at 15 years old, acquired two (2) martial arts black belts, and excelled in the violin, viola, cello, and clarinet. He was a gifted student in school and demonstrated multiple talents in other activities.

His traumatic setbacks started when he joined the prestigious US Army, 2d Ranger Battalion. This elite unit of trained fighters operated under Special Operations Command (SoCom) and was deployed to some of the most critical locations in the world. As an Airborne Ranger, regular military standards are not acceptable.

Therefore, the requirements, expectations, and pressure to remain in this unit were far beyond what most can fathom. Although it was necessary to meet these expectations of physical demand, training, knowledge, and performance to stay alive; Dr. Bryant had endured mental challenges both in and out of the hostile situations.

Dr. Bryant has authored training manuals and scholastic articles throughout his higher education for the last two decades. He worked as a private consultant for multiple Fortune 50 companies in areas of leadership and operations. Dr. Bryant started teaching at the university level in 2009 (and still does) for business, leadership, and management courses, to name a few. In addition, Dr. Bryant has trained and gained masterful levels of coaching by his mentor Berry Fowler, Founder of Fowler International Academy (FIA) of Professional Coaching.

As a certified master trainer and coach in various skills, Dr. Bryant’s experience in the military and business has given him a front-row seat to some of the most intense areas and circumstances that create trauma and anxiety for almost anyone. This is why Dr. Bryant has been working with clients and advocating for mental health by publishing hundreds of hours of material to support others.

WHAT IS DEVELOPMENTAL HEALTH COACHING?

DEFINITION

DEVELOPMENTAL COACHING has an element of intuition while providing a client-centered approach to personal coaching that recognizes the evolution of the client. It does not only follow standard guidelines of a client’s specific issues or goals but focuses on helping navigate the complexities of their developmental journeys.

DEVELOPMENTAL COACHING assists individuals in understanding and leveraging their evolving mindsets, beliefs, and behaviors to achieve personal and professional success.

DEVELOPMENTAL COACHING is distinct because it is grounded in the understanding that human development is neither linear nor predictable.

A proficient DEVELOPMENTAL COACH brings a wealth of knowledge and aspects of coaching while balancing key Mental Health indicators.

They are adept at weaving in main discussion topics, such as psychological concepts, while ensuring the coaching session remains client-centered.

DIFFERENCES

DEVELOPMENTAL COACHING is grounded in management theory and zeroes on particular competencies or objectives you aspire to attain in your personal, social, and/or work life.

Instead of denying the specific struggles someone can go through and sticking to generalities, a developmental coach can individualize their recommendations to fit a client’s unique needs.

DEVELOPMENTAL COACHES can also be great at hearing what people are saying, even the things left unsaid. This is important when trying to identify Mental Health and if there are underlying obstacles within the person.
